Archaeologist will talk about Egypt's mummies
A world-famous Egyptian archaeologist will talk about ancient Egyptian mummies at UH-Manoa on Thursday.
Salima Ikram will focus on how mummification was done, how it changed through history and the new techniques in understanding the diet, disease and level of technology of ancient Egyptians. The free lecture is set for Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
It will be held at the UH-Manoa Campus Center ballroom.
Ikram is founder and co-director of the Animal Mummy project at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
