Cool weather likely today, tomorrow as well
Cool northerly winds will continue to brush across the main Hawaiian islands and are expected to become more easterly throughout the weekend, the National Weather Service said.
Light rainfall is expected today and tomorrow but the returning trades will likely bring increasing showers from Monday through Wednesday, mostly to windward slopes, forecasters said.

Today: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight: Isolated showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Monday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
