Surf may reach 6 feet today along north-facing shores

Advertiser Staff

The surf has come back up a bit along the north-facing shores on O'ahu and should reach 4 feet to 6 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 3 feet to 5 feet along east-facing shores, 2 feet to 4 feet along west-facing shores and 2 feet to 3 feet along south-facing shores.

Small swells from the south and west-northwest will fade today and tonight. A larger northwest swell will arrive on Saturday, causing surf to rise to near the advisory level for north-facing shores through Sunday. A north-northeast swell will build on Friday, raising the possibility of advisory-level surf for east-facing shores Friday and the weekend.
