Energy conservation is showcased at the fourth annual Live Energy Lite event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Pearlridge Center's Uptown Center Court.
Expect games, drawings and giveaways, interactive exhibits by Hawaiian Electric Co. and experts available to answer questions — all in an effort to save resources and money. There's entertainment, too, by Mad Science of Hawaii, the ensemble Kaukahi and the Marine Forces Pacific Showband.
The Lite event kicks off Energy Awareness Month — October, historically a very hot month in Hawai'i and a time when many air conditioners are running at full blast.
Admission is free.
