Donovan M. Dela Cruz is a Honolulu City Council member and Jodi Endo Chai is a communications officer for the Hawaii Government Employees Association. They like to serve, and they also like to be served — good food. Their hit roundup of local hole-in-the-wall restaurants, "The Puka Guide" (Watermark Publishing, $9.95) is back, updated and revised, with 100 of their favorite local eateries on O'ahu, the Big Island, Maui, Kaua'i, Molokai and Lana'i. Sure you know Sekiya's (the duo recommends the fried saimin), but did you know the Mililani Golf Club Restaurant has a don't-miss Hawaiian beef steak? Each entry also includes space for you to make your own notes on the food.

THE WAIT'S ALMOST OVER
GRAB 'HALO' ON TUESDAY
USA Today predicts it may be "the biggest video game rollout ever" — the Tuesday release of "Halo 3." To accommodate fans who want to get their hands on one ASAP, some stores will start selling the game at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. Among them: Wal-Mart, which will have special check-out lines nationwide, and GameStop. "It should be a big one for us," said Paul Medeiros, district manager for GameStop stores in Hawai'i. "We're anticipating some decent-sized crowds."
