The city's first collection of mixed recyclables as part of its curbside recycling pilot program will take place in some parts of Mililani tomorrow.

The city will keep to the current refuse collection schedule and add alternating curbside mixed recycling and green waste pickup on the second collection day.

That means, for example, Mililani residents with a regular Monday/Thursday trash pickup schedule will have recycling pickups on Thursdays.

Mililani residents should set out blue bins with mixed recyclables on their second trash pickup day this week; green waste will be picked up the following week.
