T-shirts aid Superferry workers

Hawaii Superferry employees and families are selling "Support Hawaii Superferry" T-shirts with proceeds going to the workers who have been furloughed while the fate of the embattled catamaran is being determined.
Employees are filling orders for the T-shirts at Honolulu Ferry Terminal Pier 19, where the ship is docked.
T-shirt sales began last week as a fundraiser to help employees and their families who have been affected by the furlough. Shirts are $20 and are available for purchase online at: www.HawaiiSuperferry.com.
All profits go to furloughed Hawaii Superferry employees and their families.
CREDIT UNION WARNS OF 'PHISHING'
The Kauai Community Federal Credit Union is telling members to delete fake e-mails that purport to be from it and are part of a so-called "phishing" attempt to get people to give out information that can used to gain access to financial accounts.
At least two e-mails are circulating, both of which promise $50 to recipients.
One promises $50 for taking time to answer a five-question survey.
The other e-mail states the credit union has been satisfied with its survey results, but asks people to click on a link so they may receive $50 to participate in an unnamed offer.
The e-mails are the latest in sporadic phishing e-mail attempts targeting customers of local financial institutions. Last week, bogus e-mails circulated that were aimed at Bank of Hawaii customers.
CRAZY SHIRTS OPENS FIRST HILO STORE
Crazy Shirts has opened its first store in Hilo at the Prince Kuhio Plaza.
The store is the fourth Big Island location for Crazy Shirts and the 23rd in Hawai'i. Crazy Shirts also has 16 stores in Guam, California, Nevada, South Carolina and Florida.
Founded in 1964, Crazy Shirts employs 400 people.
HAWAIIANCRUISES.COM WORTH $39K
The domain name www.HawaiianCruises.com attracted an almost $39,000 bid during an auction of Web domains earlier this month, according to a company that ran an online auction of names.
Moniker, a firm based in Pompano Beach, Fla., said bidding concluded on Oct. 18 for a number of premium domain names. www.HawaiianCruises.com's price topped prices paid for www.PaymentCalculator.com ($35,300) and www.CertifiedPublicAccountant.com ($32,450).
The top prices paid during the bidding included $370,000 for www.Cowboys.com and $294,200 for www.Xmas.com.
HORIZON LINES DECLARES DIVIDEND
Horizon Lines Inc., the ocean shipper whose operations include service to Hawai'i, said its board voted to declare a cash dividend on its outstanding shares of common stock.
The $0.11 per share dividend will be payable on Dec. 15, 2007, to all stockholders of record as of the close of business on Dec. 1, 2007.
North Carolina-based Horizon Lines earlier this month said it will take delivery of 1,200 new 45-foot shipping containers as part of an ongoing equipment investment program. Since the start of 2007, Horizon has ordered 2,200 new dry containers and 600 new 40-foot high-cube boxes. The company also has added more than 1,000 new high-cube refrigerated containers.
