Wayne Wang, director of such films as "The Joy Luck Club," "Dim Sum" and "Chan is Missing," has canceled his planned appearance at the Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival.
His two recent films, "Princess of Nebraska" and "A Thousand Years of Good Prayers," still will be shown in the festival's lone double-bill program, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hawai'i Theatre. Admission is $15.
Janet Yang, executive producer of "The Joy Luck Club," will replace him in a HIFF seminar.
