When Antoin Dewalt touches the ball, his Pearl City coaches expect big things to happen.

Down by 17 against Waialua, Dewalt scored two touchdowns to start a fourth-quarter rally and help Pearl City to a 35-31 victory in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association White football game Saturday.

Dewalt rushed 14 times for 182 yards and scored three touchdowns.

"Antoin did an excellent job against Waialua," Pearl City coach Mel Bicoy said in an e-mail. "In every game, anytime the ball is given to him, as coaches we expect good things to happen."

Down 31-14 in the fourth quarter, Dewalt scored two touchdowns to cut the deficit to 31-28 — one on a 28-yard pass from quarterback Kawika Borden and another on a 30-yard run.

"Antoin has been consistent all season for all games thus far," Bicoy said. "It is expected for him to score on any given play."

Borden scored the game-winning touchdown on a 2-yard run.

Dewalt, one of the state's top rushers, has already helped the Chargers (5-2-1, 5-2) clinch a berth in the OIA playoffs. Pearl City finishes the regular season at home against Roosevelt (5-2, 5-2) on Friday.

"As long as Antoin remains healthy, we expect him to be the workhorse during the postseason," Bicoy added.
