Second-ranked Punahou used three quarterbacks from the second quarter on, combining for 236 yards and three touchdowns in a 44-28 rout of Pac-Five in Interscholastic League of Honolulu interdivisional football last night at Aloha Stadium.

The Buffanblu (4-1 overall, 2-1 ILH) are in Division I and the Wolfpack (1-5, 0-3) is in Division II.

Wide receiver Robbie Toma was the big beneficiary with six catches for 177 yards and three TDs, all from starter Kimo Makaula, who was 5 of 8 for 144 yards, despite two interceptions. Toma had TD catches of 90, 24 and 12 yards.

Running back Dalton Hilliard had two TD runs and 50 yards on 12 carries, but Manti Te'o had 85 yards on just five carries, including a 19-yard TD run.

Wolfpack backup quarterback Matt Milton had a 39-yard TD pass to Westin Alcover and rushed for one from seven yards.

Punahou wasted little time getting on the board. On its first play from scrimmage after taking the opening kickoff, Makaula hit Toma, who turned a short reception into a 90-yard TD. Robert Izuta's PAT gave the Buffanblu a 7-0 lead.

But the Wolfpack tied it later in the quarter after an interception by Peter Hanakahi set up a 16-yard TD run by running back Jaime Rivera. Josh Mun's PAT made it 7-7.

The Buffanblu scored on their next three series to take a commanding 28-7 lead into the half.

The Buffanblu used quarterbacks Makaula, Cayman Shutter and Pono Akina.

Defensive back Ridge Dunlap had two interceptions for the Wolfpack, the second leading to a third-quarter TD, a 39-yard pass from Jon-Ray Rodrigues to Alcover to cut their deficit to 28-14. Pac-Five got no closer.
