Advertiser Staff

Residents can get rid of bulky items by dropping them off or calling for curb-side pickup at Kaimuki High School's Aloha 'Aina Earth Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at the school's parking lot.

Items that will be accepted include scrap metal, auto parts, bicycles, metal appliances, lawn mowers, pipes, beams, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, HI-5¢ bottles and cans, automobile tires (one load per household), green waste, car and boat batteries and household items that can be reused by Goodwill.

Proceeds will benefit the school, Mo'ili'ili Community Center and Kapahulu Center. Call 527-5587 for curb-side pickup.
