Grant seeks to help fathers
Advertiser Staff
The Hawai'i Community Foundation's Crystal Meth-amphetamine Initiative has awarded a $50,000 grant to Family Support Services of West Hawai'i to support the West Hawai'i Fatherhood Initiative.
The initiative is designed to increase father involvement in the lives of children and promote responsible fathering practices.
The program will support the community's young fathers through classes and parent-child and group support activities.
Family Support Services of West Hawai'i was established in 1979 by community volunteers concerned for children traumatized by abuse and neglect.
