WAILEA
Marriott resorts donate to autism organization

Advertiser Staff

During November, Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa and Capricorn Events are donating $1 from each ticket purchased for the Honua'ula lu'au dinner show to Autism Bridges, a Maui organization that provides support for families who have children with autism.

In addition, Marriott's Maui Ocean Club is pitching in with a donation of $2,000.

Wailea Beach Marriott Resort general manager John Jaskula said the donations were inspired by the work Rob and Tiffany Welch are doing both on behalf of autism in the community and within their own family. Rob Welch is general manager of Maui Ocean Club in Ka'anapali and has a son with autism, a brain development disorder that affects a child's interaction and communication skills.

The Honua'ula show is held at 5:30 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at the Wailea Marriott. Rates are $85 for adults and $42 for children; kama'aina prices of $68 are available with a five-day advance reservation. For reservations, call 808-875-7710.
