I give you ladies credit for all that you do — spending many holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, ups and downs without your spouses. ... My family and I personally appreciate you and your family's sacrifices for our freedom." — Piano Mom, in the Military forum.

FOOD
DOWNTOWN'S GETTING HOT
The Hawai'i State Art Museum is poised to become Honolulu's hot lunch ticket. Today, chef Ed Kenney brings his Town tastes to Downtown, his new cafe in the museum. Sit inside or al fresco by the swimming pool. Expect Kenney's trademark Island ingredients prepared with a Mediterranean twist. The cafe will serve breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Mondays to Fridays and lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays. Now in the works: a museum gift shop and information center.
