Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf opens its 13th store in Hawai'i today at the corner of Monsarrat and Campbell avenues.

It brings another caffeine competitor to Monsarrat, which has two other coffee shops: Bogart's Coffee & Espresso Bar and Diamond Head Coffee.

The latter opened last month next door to Diamond Head Market & Grill, directly across the street from the new Coffee Bean.

The Los Angeles-based specialty company entered the Honolulu market in 2005.

The Sullivan Family of Companies, which operates Foodland Super Market and other stores, runs the Coffee Bean shops.
