It's baby time

The Blaisdell Exhibition Hall will become a traffic jam of strollers this weekend as families flock to the 10th annual New Baby Expo.
With more than 150 booths showcasing products and services for parents, soon-to-be parents, babies and children, there will be lots to see and do.
Enter your keiki for a chance to win gift certificates and other prizes, or if you're hapai, join in on "Hawaii's Largest Baby Shower," to be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Expecting moms and dads can participate in games, and the first 500 moms-to-be will receive a special gift bag.
Infant-learning expert Robert Titzer will demonstrate activities parents can do with their child to help stimulate brain development. He'll be on the main stage at 2 p.m. today and tomorrow.
But the expo's raison d'etre is buying for baby.
Planning a first-birthday party? Photographers, balloon artists, magicians, sound system companies and other party essentials will showcase their services.
Parents can check out the latest trends in baby gear, such as "babywearing." Mommies around the country, and locally, are ditching clunky strollers for the more personal slings, which allow babies to be carried close to the heart. And the way some wrap the body make them practically a fashion accessory. The expo will feature about six sling companies.
And you know what's going to draw a crowd: the baby crawling contest, which will take place at 1 p.m. today.
