Centex Destination Properties Hawaii has agreed to sponsor Habitat for Humanity Leeward O'ahu's latest project, a home for the Johnson-Ho'ohuli family in Wai'anae.
The partnership will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. today at the work site on Imipono Street.
Construction of the house is expected to begin today and take six to eight months. Volunteers will converge on the work site June 16 for a "build-a-thon," to help raise the walls and the roof of the home.
The project is the fourth to be built by Leeward O'ahu Habitat, which uses contributions and volunteers to build homes for the needy.
