Kaiser tops KS-Hawai'i to take 3rd in states

Toby Inouye tossed a six-hitter as Kaiser topped Kamehameha-Hawai‘i, 4-2, yesterday to take third place in the Wally Yonamine Foundation Baseball State Championships at Les Murakami Stadium.
Inouye struck out two and walked one in his complete-game victory. Dustin Dela Pena, Bryce Marcouiller and Michael Kawashima each had one RBI for the Cougars.

Pinch-hitter Richie Chinen’s run-scoring single broke an 8-all tie in the fourth inning and Thad Yasuhara batted 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs as Waiakea took fifth place.
Kiley Kawazoe hit a three-run homer and Royce Ebesu went 2 for 3 with three RBIs for the Vikings.

Adam Schroeder’s two-out, two-run single in the fourth inning gave Mililani a 3-2 lead, and Kylen Cadiam tossed a six-hitter as the Trojans won the consolation title.
Jordan Leanio went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Lanan Rice-Kashima drove in two runs for Kaua'i.
