TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"How I Met Your Mother," 7 p.m., CBS. Marshall and Lily have made this clear: They'll have a simple wedding, outdoors, with a few friends and a guitar player. Then families take over. And her high school boyfriend arrives. And the harpist nears childbirth. And all of the wrong people are tackled by an overzealous bouncer. This joins TV's tradition of having funny wedding episodes. Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel bring such a sweet optimism as the couple that it all feels bright and fun.

"The Riches," 7 p.m., FX. Dahlia is a complex character, beautifully played by Minnie Driver. Fresh from prison, she feels joy and discomfort in the lush world her husband has found, via identity theft. Now his boss is coming to dinner, just as her old cellmate is in town. What could have been a cliche is invested with hope, humor and fear.

OF NOTE

"Sideways" (2004), 4 p.m., FX. Just before a wedding, the groom's friend (Paul Giamatti) decides they need a wine-country journey. The result is richly told, with a script — from director Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor — that won an Academy Award. The fine supporting cast includes Sandra Oh and Virginia Madsen.

"Dancing With the Stars," 7 p.m., ABC. The five remaining couples dance.

"House," 7 p.m., Fox. In a rerun, House's pain keeps getting worse and even excessive Vicodin won't help. Meanwhile, he's supposed to focus on a teen model who collapsed.

"The New Adventures of Old Christine," 7:30 p.m., CBS. Christine's frisky moment might have ruined her chance to date the teacher (Blair Underwood) she likes.

"Two and a Half Men," 8 p.m., CBS. Enrique Iglesias plays a gardener who steals away Charlie's lover.

"Heroes," 8 p.m., NBC. Last week, Hiro got a chilling view of what life might be like in five years. Now he works to prevent that. Nathan scrambles to make sure he wins the election. Jessica and D.L. learn how their role in Linderman's dark schemes.

"24," 8 p.m., Fox. The CTU feels it knows Cheng's location and is preparing to strike.

"King of Queens," 8:30 p.m., CBS. This episode sets up next week's well-made series finale. Carrie has other concerns; then her dad has a surprise.

"The Bachelor," 8:30 p.m., ABC. Andy visits the homes of four women, then trims the field to three.
