University of Hawai'i seniors Meike De Nooy, Kristy Bagnall and Brittany Dames play their final home water polo match tomorrow when the eighth-ranked Rainbow Wahine host fifth-ranked California at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match begins at 4 p.m. Hawai'i (10-8 overall) is in fifth in the MPSF at 6-3. Cal (8-7) is a game back at 4-3. This is the third time they have played, with the Golden Bears winning the first two — 5-2 on Feb. 4 and 5-4 in overtime Feb. 24. Cal leads the all-time series 19-4.

The Rainbow Wahine will be celebrating four returns along with their senior farewell. De Nooy, Kelly Mason, Anna Sieprath and Amy Logan have been gone the past three weeks to participate in the 12th FINA World Aquatic Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

De Nooy was backup goalie for The Netherlands, which also featured former UH All-American Iefke Van Belkum. The Dutch took ninth with an 11-2 victory over Brazil yesterday. Van Belkum, who plans to return to UH after the Olympics, scored one goal.

Mason, Sieprath and Logan all played for New Zealand. The Kiwis fell to Germany, 11-9, in overtime yesterday in the match for 11th. Mason, one of the scoring leaders at the championships, had five goals.

UH went 2-1 without the four starters, the only loss coming against third-ranked USC.

De Nooy, an All-American in goal the past two seasons, leads the MPSF in saves (10.69 a game). Bagnall, from Australia, has been among the top four in scoring all four years. She has 14 goals this year and is second on the team in kick-outs drawn with 28. She also has 17 steals and has been a backup goalie. Dames, a graduate of Roosevelt, has five goals and eight steals. She is a two-time all-academic MPSF selection.

Hawai'i has advanced to the last two NCAA Championships. Mason, a sophomore, is its leading scorer this season with 42 goals — second in the MPSF. Lisa Van Raalte, another sophomore, is second with 30 goals.

Hawai'i closes the regular season with MPSF matches at UC-Santa Barbara on April 10 and Cal State Northridge on April 12, followed by a non-conference doubleheader against Cal Baptist and Hartwick on April 14. The MPSF Championship is April 26 to 29 at Arizona State.
