The state Department of Transportation will reroute traffic across the Wailua River during bridge inspections tonight, tomorrow and Saturday.

The department will close the southbound lane on the main Wailua Bridge from 10 p.m. today to 4:30 a.m. tomorrow, and again from 10 p.m. tomorrow to 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

The remaining lane on the bridge will be used for southbound traffic, and northbound traffic will be diverted onto the old plantation bridge makai of the bridge.

Drivers are advised to expect delays and to use caution when approaching the river.
