Connect with nature at "Splendors of Ikebana," an exhibition of flower arrangements opening today in the courtyard of Honolulu Hale. Ikebana schools will show off more than 40 arrangements. Nine young arrangers ages 5-12 also will exhibit their work. Watch enthusiasts of the centuries-old Japanese art demonstrate their craft at 10 a.m. tomorrow and Friday. Fashion advice from a longtime pro
Advertiser fashion writer Paula Rath, a former fashion designer who now creates wearable art, will give two workshops as part of Kahala Mall's Viva la Diva spring event. Rath, known for her ability to pack all she needs for a monthlong trip in a single carry-on bag, shares secrets for packing light in "Packing for Travel" at 6 p.m. Thursday. She shares tales of fashion faux pas and offers practical advice on doing the most with what you've got, as well as the latest spring trends, in "Fashion Do's and Fashion Don'ts," at 6 p.m. April 4.
