Three juniors from La Pietra-Hawaii School for Girls will host a fundraiser for HUGS on Sunday at Indigo Eurasian Cuisine.

Katie Nichols, Yana Alliata di Montereale and Azzurra Alliata di Montereale organized the fundraiser for the nonprofit agency, which supports families of seriously ill children, as part of a school project.

"We saw (this) as a chance to give back to our community," said Nichols, 16. "Instead of just donating money, we (planned) ... a charity event benefiting HUGS."
