The Academy of the Pacific's Tri Bourne and Punahou's Riley McKibbin may not have put up huge scoring numbers this past season, but their value no doubt was recognizable to ILH Division II coaches, who named the pair as Co-Players of the Year in a recent vote.
Bourne, a 6-4 senior center, averaged 10.3 points per game and helped the Dolphins (12-5) advance to their first state tournament berth. McKibbin, a 6-3 senior post, averaged 7.1 ppg and helped the Buffanblu to a 14-0 record and overall league championship.
Bourne and McKibbin are joined on the ILH DII all-star first team by Lutheran junior Derek Alik, Lanakila Baptist senior Alika Borabora, AOP sophomore Keoni Daniel, Word of Life senior Kamalu Kealoha and Hanalani senior PJ Wood.
Punahou's Gary Pacarro and University High's Walter Quitan were named Co-Coaches of the Year. Quitan guided the Junior Rainbows to a 12-2 league record.
