COMEDY: MARCH 23
Former Honolulan Paul Ogata (in 2006 named among the Top 10 Comedians by NBC) comes back to headline a night of stand-up schtick in "The Asian Kings of Comedy," with Edwin San Juan (B.E.T.), Shecky Wong (Showtime) and Kevin Shea ("Jimmy Kimmel Live"). Nothing is off limits for the four comedians from Los Angeles representing Japanese, Filipino, Chinese and Korean ethnicities.
EXPO: MARCH 25
Books, coins, fossils, furniture, jewelry, toys, postcards, aloha shirts, musical instruments and much more will be at the 4th annual spring edition of the "Wiki Wiki One Day Vintage Collectibles & Hawaiiana Show." Vendors from Oahu, the Neighbor Islands and the Mainland will fill more than 90 tables at the collectibles show that showcases only vintage (20 years and older) items.

After 25-plus years, 15-plus albums and a million live shows, the horn-based soul band Tower of Power shows no signs of slowing down. The Hawaiian Scottish Festival and Highland Games, below, is an annual celebration of all things Scottish, featuring entertainment, a gathering of clans, demonstrations of swordplay and fencing, vendors offering Highland wear, Celtic clothing and jewelry, tattoos and more, and traditional food such as stews, steaks, bangers and possibly haggis (!).

Q: What do you get when you combine classic punk, Celtic folk and American rock 'n' roll? Science, mythology and environmental issues create a framework for "Electric Blue," presented by IONA Contemporary Dance Theatre. The work incorporates modern dance, aerial acrobatics, a cappella singing and multimedia technology. "Electric Blue" was previewed on beaches around O'ahu before making its Hawai'i Theatre debut in April.

Shinehead's career launched with his cover of Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean"; his best-known single was the cover of Sting's "Englishman In New York," titled "Jamaican In New York."
