Wastewater being studied
Advertiser Staff
The city recently kicked off a two-year study to investigate wastewater treatment alternatives for the North Shore.
The study, which will build on the North Shore Neighborhood Board's Wastewater Task Force findings, will attempt to identify long-range approaches to deal with wastewater collection, treatment and reuse in this largely unsewered area, said Ken Kawahara, with the city Department of Environmental Services.
Key to this project is public involvement in considering the preferred alternatives for the North Shore which are consistent with the Sustainable Communities plan, Kawahara said.
