EMME IN VEGAS: TV personality Emme Tomimbang will host a special "Emme's Island Moments" called "Emme in the New Las Vegas" at 9 p.m. June 28 on KHON2, with a rebroadcast at 3 p.m. June 30. Among the highlights: an interview with former Islander Jean-Marie Josselin at his 808 restaurant; a visit with Hawai'i pro golfer Dean Wilson at his Las Vegas home; a peek at the NEW Society of Seven with Jasmine Trias and Lani Misalucha, and a look at the longest-running Vegas Polynesian show, "The Imperial Palace Hawaiian Luau." An added attraction: a feature on Don Ho, with members of his family.

WALKING TOUR: Want to get to know our capitol city better? The Mission Houses Museum is offering a new Capitol district walking tour with historian Nanette N. Napoleon. The tour is scheduled to take place every second Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon; the next two tours are July 14 and Aug. 11. Cost of the tour is $15 for the general public, $10 for members of the Mission Houses Museum, and reservations are encouraged; 531-0481, ext. 707. The tour covers the Mission Houses, Kawaiaha'o, Ali'iolani Hale, 'Iolani Palace, the state Capitol, Washington Place, St. Andrew's Cathedral, the Hawai'i State Art Museum, The Queen's Medical Center and Honolulu Hale.
