ARBORETUM WORK PARTY — Lyon Arboretum in Manoa holds a volunteer work party at 8 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Meet in the parking lot, prepared for rain and sun; closed-toe shoes, bug repellent, hat, gloves recommended.
POUHALA MARSH RESTORATION — The Hawai'i Nature Center is restoring Pouhala Marsh in Waipahu. Volunteers are needed to pull pickleweed and mangrove 8:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday. MAUI PINE TREE PULLERS — Help remove invasive pines near Hosmer Grove, 9 a.m.-noon Sundays. Transportation provided at 7:30 a.m. from Harbor Shops, Ma'alaea, and 8:15 a.m. from Mayor Hannibal Tavares Community Center, Pukalani. Closed footwear required; bring water and lunch.
