Waikiki is Parade Central this weekend, so stock up on the sunscreen, bring your cameras and bottled water and be ready to cheer on:
The 91st annual King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade
At the park is Na Hana No'eau o Ka Pakipika ("Artistic Endeavors of the Pacific"), a celebration with entertainment, food, and arts and crafts demonstrations.
This year's Kamehameha celebration is themed "Bridging the World Through Music and Dance."

THE PAN-PACIFIC FESTIVAL
The Pan-Pacific celebration also features an arts and crafts fair (noon to 4 p.m. today at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center), a hula festival (noon to 3 p.m. today at Ala Moana's Centerstage), a taiko festival (1:30 to 3:30 p.m. today, Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center) and tonight's Sunset on the Beach (7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Queen's Surf Beach), which will screen a film about Misora Hibari, one of the most famous singers in postwar Japan.
