AMERICORPS INTERNS — Maui Economic Opportunity is recruiting interns age 17 and older for Americorps' environmental program June 12-Aug. 3 on Maui, Moloka'i, Lana'i and Kaho'olawe. Work includes invasive species removal, resource protection and restoration, water-quality assessment and monk seal rescue. Interns receive a $2,025 allowance and $1,000 scholarship. KANE'OHE WETLAND PROJECT — Volunteers are needed Saturday to help the Sierra Club clear a wetland of mangrove to create habitat for endangered water birds at Marine Corps Base Hawai'i.
