TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Ray" (2004), 5 p.m., FX. Here's another chance to see a brilliant performance, navigating the extremes of a complex life. Jamie Foxx perfectly plays Ray Charles, a good man who made some mistakes, then kept rebounding via sheer talent. Taylor Hackford directed beautifully, catching visual variations ranging from the small-town South to California's bright boom of the 1960s. Rippling through it all is the great Charles music. Foxx won an Academy Award, Hackford was nominated, and the film was nominated for best picture.

"Monk," 9 p.m., USA Network. The main object of this series, you know, is to put the easily-bothered Adrian Monk into bothersome situations. This time, there's a murder at a nudist beach. That's the perfect place to plunk a detective who sticks to immaculate suits. We don't know if the guest stars — Diedrich Bader ("The Drew Carey Show"), Angela Kinsey ("The Office") and Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus in "Spider-Man 2") — are fully clothed.

OF NOTE

"Human Weapon," 5 and 7 p.m., History Channel. First is a rerun of last week's debut, in which two tough Americans go to Thailand to learn the martial art of Muay Thai; then one fights a champion. In the new hour, they go to the Philippines and learn Eskrima, a deadly art that includes wielding a stick. One guy says it's "like cheerleaders with a weapon" — causing the other to ask him just what kind of school he went to. Both hours are interesting, but have moments of sharp brutality.

"Ghost Whisperer," 7 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, Melinda is out of town. Now her husband gets messages from a beautiful ghost.

"Jericho," 8 p.m., CBS. In a rerun, Marines arrive, saying they're in charge of reconstruction. Some townspeople are skeptical.

"Las Vegas," 8 p.m., NBC. Vincent Pastore, who was "Big Pussy" on "The Sopranos," plays a mobster in this rerun. He's financing a million-dollar wedding for his daughter.

"Greek," 8 p.m., ABC. Here's a rerun of Monday's episode on ABC Family. Casey distrusts Cappie's motives in setting up a blind date for Rusty.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 9 p.m., NBC. Tate Donovan and Amy Smart guest, in a take-off on the recent astronaut love triangle. When a female astronaut is killed, police learn she was having an affair with a married colleague.

"Psych," 10 p.m. USA Network. We all know that Shawn is just pretending to be a psychic, while solving crimes on pure observation. Now, however, the feds bring in someone who is said to be a real psychic. Who will prevail?
