The Waipahu Community Association is holding a retirement party for former executive director Darrlyn Bunda.

It will be Aug. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Filipino Community Center.

Cost is $40 and includes dinner and a gift for Bunda. Checks can be made to Hans L'Orange Baseball Park Council and sent to 99-1661C 'Aiea Heights Drive, 'Aiea, HI 96701. The deadline is Aug. 4.

Besides being instrumental in the reorganization of the WCA, Bunda also headed the Leeward Oahu Transportation Management Association and briefly served on the Honolulu City Council.
