'Aiea High School football coach Wendell Say was selected by the NFL to participate in the NFL Youth Football Summit.

The Summit will be held July 25 and 26 in Canton, Ohio. One coach was chosen from each state and the District of Columbia. Coaches had to write an essay for the selection process.

"It's an opportunity you can't pass up — being selected and having the opportunity to go meet other coaches and talk football," Say said.

The Summit will feature seminars on leadership, character development, injury prevention, parent-coach-player relationships, officiating and steroids and supplements.

The Summit is held as a lead up the Pro Football Hall of Fame Weekend, which begins Aug. 2.
