Service for reporter Doug Woo set for Friday

A service for Doug Woo, former Honolulu Advertiser and KGMB reporter, will take place 6 p.m. Friday at Nu'uanu Memorial Park & Mortuary; visitation will precede the service from 5 to 6 p.m. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Nu'uanu Memorial Park. Aloha attire is requested.
Woo died July 9 at the age of 57. An Advertiser reporter from 1970 to 1980, he spent eight years as a channel 9 reporter, was a spokesman during Honolulu Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro's two terms, and later worked for the city Department of Customer Services.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Melissa and Jessica; son, Jonathan; mother, Soo Kyung Woo; and brothers, Calvin, Brian, Arthur and Eric.
