Mid-Pacific junior Hayley Young shot an 8-over-par 79 yesterday to finish eighth at the AJGA's Future Legends at the Legend at Brandybrook course in Wales, Wis.
Mitsuki Katahira, of Wheaton, Ill., shot a 70 for a 220 total to win by 11 strokes. Young finished at 243.
In the boys division, Punahou graduate Jonathan Khil shot a 16-over-par 87 to finish tied for 46th.
Matthew Schovee, of Cherry Hills Village, Colo., shot a 72 to finish at 219 and a seven-stroke victory. Khil finished at 243.

Maryknoll junior Alexander Chu shot a 1-over-par 73 and finished tied for 23rd at the AJGA's Randy Wise Junior Open at Flint Elks Lodge 222 Golf Club at Grand Blanc, Mich.
Jae Han Chun, of Lisle, Ill., defeated Zeyu He, of Bradenton, Fla., in a playoff for the title. Both finished at 4-under 212. Chu shot a three-round 226.
In the girls division, Kamehameha alum Alyssa Fukuoka shot a 7-over 78 and finished tied for 16th at 242.
Danielle Fraiser, of Encinitas, Calif., shot 70—214 to win by seven strokes.
