A Wai'anae Supportive Housing Project proposed by Housing Solutions Inc. of Honolulu recently received a final environmental impact notice of a "no significant impact" finding and will move forward toward Honolulu City Council consideration.
If approved, the 7.7-acre-project would provide 50 affordable housing units for low-income individuals and families, including those who were formerly homeless.
The housing would be immediately mauka of the Wai'anae Community Center.
Twenty of the units would be studio apartments for short-term transitional housing, and 30 would be longer- term two-bedroom units.
