J. Terrence "Terry" Mullen has been elected director, president and chief executive officer of healthcare insurance provider HMAA. Mullen, who brings 32 years of insurance consulting experience to HMAA, will continue to serve as president and CEO of his own family-owned John Mullen & Co. Inc. property/casualty adjusting and third-party administration company. John Henry Felix, who will continue to serve as HMAA board chairman, also was elected to serve as secretary and treasurer-chief financial officer. HMAA services more than 3,200 small businesses statewide.
JUNISE REGPALA has been named executive vice president of training and OSHA (U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration) compliance for LEAD Hawai'i. LEAD provides emergency care training programs, including CPR and first aid, for businesses, industry, nonprofit organizations and the public. Besides a master's degree in human resources, Regpala also holds OSHA construction safety certification.
W. Bruce Barrett has been named executive vice president for residential operations; and Donna Tomita has been named vice president, sales and marketing at Castle & Cooke Inc. Barrett, a 30-year veteran of real-estate development, will now oversee all aspects of the company's residential development in Hawai'i. Tomita has served as director of marketing for Castle & Cooke Homes Hawai'i Inc., and led all marketing, advertising and public-relations efforts for Castle & Cooke's residential communities.
DALE W. LEE has been named chief operating officer and senior adviser; and CYNTHIA D. QUINN has been named director of external relations and communications at University of Hawai'i-Manoa, William S. Richardson School of Law. Lee, a practicing lawyer since 1974, was most recently senior litigation partner with Honolulu law firm Kobayashi Sugita & Goda. Quinn, a 1988 graduate and an administrative law teacher at the law school, was senior associate at Bronster Crabtree & Hoshibata law firm.
