The Return to Romance Music Festival has teamed up with Martha Stewart for a Valentine's Day TV contest on the homemaker's TV show, which airs in Hawai'i at 10 a.m. weekdays on KHNL 8.

The festival, a project of the Matt Catingub Orchestra of Hawaii, has assembled a roster of talent for shows March 1-11. The contest offers tickets to Honolulu and seats for all events for the winning couple.

"We are extremely grateful to be part of this wonderful promotion with Martha Stewart," said festival producer Allen Sviridoff. "She has worked with us to create one of the most romantic packages for a special couple in her audience this Valentine's Day. We are sure this will be one of the most unforgettable experiences of their lives."

The prize includes:

  • Tickets to every festival concert, with such themes as "A Smooth Romance," "The Most Romantic Songs Ever Written ... Part I," "Return to Romance — The CD" and "The Rhythm of Romance: From Motown to Nashville to Hollywood to Oahu."

  • Two roundtrip tickets to Honolulu on Continental Airlines.

  • Luxury accommodations at The Kahala Hotel & Resort.

  • A flight on a private plane to the Big Island to indulge in the Lava Love spa package at the Mauna Lani Resort.

  • Special recognition at the opening ceremonies of the festival at 'Iolani Palace, the only official royal palace in the U.S., on March 1.

  • A special Harry Winston champagne reception in the salon at Ala Moana Center, with gifts for the couple.

Audience members at the Stewart show on Wednesday will receive a lei plus a copy of the "Return to Romance" CD.

The festival, created by the Catingub orchestra, celebrates the greatest songs and presumes that the live performances will be from the most romantic spot on Earth. Events are at several venues, including the Hawai'i Theatre, the Waikiki Shell and the Blaisdell Arena.

A host of performers will be featured, including Brian Stokes Mitchell, Natalie Cole, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Ruben Studdard, Jimmy Borges, Raiatea Helm, Robert Cazimero, Na Leo Pilimehana, Cecilio & Kapono, Keali'i Reichel, Jordan Segundo, Rocky Brown and Nina Keali'iwahamana.
