Kaimuki wins OIA tournament opener

All-State forward Keone Reyes scored a team-high 18 points and Brandon Madamba hit four 3-pointers as Kaimuki defeated Wai'anae, 60-39, in the first round of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red Conference playoffs last night at Radford.
The Bulldogs led 23-21 at intermission and outscored the Seariders 37-18 in the second half.
Madamba finished with 13 points, Beau Albrechtson added 12 and Daniel Colon 11.
Wai'anae's Ramsey Beers led all scorers with 19 points, and Jarrod Burns added 13.

Gary Satterwhite scored a game-high 19 points, Travis Daniels added 16 and the Rams took control with a 20-10 third quarter in an OIA Red Conference playoff game at Radford.
Nickolas Tuamoheloa hit three 3-pointers and led Castle with 13 points. Malani Lum added 10.

Kolvin Dixon scored a game-high 24 points and the Mules fended off a fourth-quarter rally by the Red Raiders in an OIA Red Conference playoff game at Moanalua.
Art Laurel added 10 points for Leilehua, which outscored Kahuku 21-13 in the third quarter and took a 43-34 lead entering the final eight minutes. Jray Galeai scored 15 points for Kahuku.

Stevie Austin scored 11 of his game-high 22 points in the second quarter and Na Menehune beat the Chargers in an OIA Red Conference playoff game at Moanalua.
Austin hit three 3-pointers when Moanalua outscored Pearl City 20-12 in the second period. Josh Kure added 12 points for Moanalua. Kawika Borden led Pearl City with seven points.
