What's wrong with this picture?
As self-described "displaced kama'aina" Dave Mitchell so rightly points out: It's not too often you see a Hawai'i license plate with icicles on it. This is Mitchell's plate, which was exposed to its first taste of severe cold after the Mitchell family moved from O'ahu to Warsaw, Ind., just in time for an ice storm. Lucky we live Hawai'i, eh! (Sorry, Dave).

FINAL WORD
"You must have a joyful life. Where we are as a planet is so perilous that not to have a good life is to cheat yourself of the time we have left. So dance! ... Experience the wonder of the world in all its radiance, and do your part to make human beings worthy of this amazing place."
Alice Walker | Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist ("The Color Purple"), in Seventeen
