Memorial Friday honors homeless who died in '07

Some 200 people are expected to come out for National Homeless Memorial Day at Ala Moana Beach Park on Friday.
The event includes a memorial for Hawai'i homeless people who have died on the streets this year. It is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the center of the park.
Attendees are encouraged to bring toys, hygiene kits, backpacks, blankets, umbrellas or other items for distribution to homeless adults and children. Food will also be accepted.
