Aloha's 3rd-quarter loss rises to $15.1M
Advertiser Staff
Aloha Airlines' third-quarter net loss widened to $15.1 million as it battled go! airlines and Hawaiian Airlines for interisland passengers.
A filing at the U.S. Department of Transportation shows the air carrier's loss increased from the $10.6 million deficit it reported a year earlier. The Honolulu-based airline reported an operating loss of $11.7 million.
Aloha's operating revenue climbed to $104.4 million from $99.8 million a year earlier.
Besides having to match low-interisland airfares, the air carrier has faced high fuel costs.
