SURF LINE HAWAI'I AT MACY'S

Notoriously reticent Surf Line Hawai'i designer Martial Crum will make two special appearances at Macy's Ala Moana to introduce the company's new men's retro line, inspired by favorite prints and styles of the '60s and '70s. Crum, an avid waterman and skateboarder, will be joined by waterwoman Joni King, the company's sales and marketing manager.

The line includes bush jackets, pullovers (long- and short-sleeved), board shorts and long pants. Three iconic prints have been re-created with a contemporary vibe. Trunk shows will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow in the men's department, lower floor, Macy's Ala Moana Center.

LEIANA SKIN CARE NOW IN HAWAI'I

Leana Hosken, founder of LeiAna Pure Skin Care, grew up in Kailua — she's a grad of Kalaheo High — so it's no surprise that she would offer her line of botanical skin care products here. Just in time for last-minute gift-giving, the LeiAna line is now being sold in Don Quijote's Honolulu store and in Kalapawai Market at Kailua Beach.

"I'm delighted that LeiAna is now available in my hometown," Hosken said. "As a child, I shopped at Kalapawai and at Holiday Mart. I still frequent these stores whenever I am in Hawai'i. It's exciting to see my products available to a community that has been important to me since my childhood."

The LeiAna line consists of five products (cleanser, toner, facial moisturizer, shower gel and body moisturizer) made of botanical ingredients such as aloe, hibiscus, seaweed, green tea and rose hips. Prices are $18 to $44.
