The Friends of Kaimuki Library will host a book sale Saturday to benefit the library.

The Big September Book Sale will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the downstairs parking lot.

This year's event will feature thousands of books — from fiction to nonfiction — for $1. There will also be DVDs, CDs, audio books and tapes, and videos.

Proceeds will benefit the library's equipment fund.

Kaimuki Public Library is at 1041 Koko Head Ave.
