The city's widening of Waikele Road continues this week in the area fronting Waipahu Intermediate School from Farrington Highway to the Waipahu Flood Control Channel. Work includes adding curbs and sidewalks, adjusting of manholes and widening of roadway boxes.

Completion is expected this month.

Work also continues on Waipahu streets, including cold-planing, resurfacing of asphalt concrete pavements and reconstruction of failed asphalt concrete pavement areas as well as adjusting utility manhole frames and covers, installing of pavement markings and locating existing manholes, valve boxes and monuments.
