TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"The Road to War: Iraq," 6 p.m., National Geographic Channel; then "America at a Crossroads: Anti-Americans," 10 p.m., PBS. Two films, opposite in tone, examine our current situation. The Geographic special is a dead-serious look at the decision to plunge into the Iraq war. Sticking mainly to White House insiders, it's a fairly sympathetic look at an administration trying to do the right thing. It also views a quirk: State Department leaders, cautioning against the war, had much more combat experience than Defense Department people. Then PBS takes a lighter look, with European views of the U.S. That ranges from Irish nightclub comedians to a French show in which every puppet portrays Sylvester Stallone.

"My Boys," 7 p.m., TBS. Brendan's been getting jerkier, ever since being named a hot bachelor. That leads to one of the funniest interventions we've seen on TV. Also, PJ's old friends are now too Manhattan-like for her.

OF NOTE

"Army Wives," 5 p.m., Lifetime. If you missed this Sunday, catch it now. It's the season finale, filled with key events. It's well done, except for the overwrought, cliffhanger ending.

"The Murder of Princess Diana," 6 p.m., Lifetime. This movie (which also aired Saturday and Sunday) has its merits. Crisply filmed and skillfully acted (with Jennifer Morrison of "House" in the lead), it raises key questions about flaws in the investigation of Diana's death. It does it, however, by creating fictional characters, leaving viewers perplexed about what's real and what's Hollywood.

"The Closer," 6 p.m., TNT. When a Homeland Security agent is killed, the FBI gets possessive of the case.

"Saving Grace," 7 p.m., TNT. A reporter has been killed, while going undercover as a prostitute.

"Heroes," 8 p.m., NBC. We jump back six months and Hiro finds it isn't easy to save Charlie. Also, Chandra is starting to visit people who have special powers.
