  • Meadow Gold Dairies Hawai'i has announced a number of promotions:

    JOSEPH MIGUEL has been named vice president of manufacturing for Meadow Gold Dairies Hawai'i's two plants, in Hilo and Honolulu. His career has included stints at Super Store Industries, Carnation Milk and Ice Cream, and, most recently, Fullerton Cultured Specialties.

    REED OGINO has been named vice president of branch operations, overseeing the company's Neighbor Island teams on Kaua'i, Maui and the Big Island. The 19-year Meadow Gold veteran, has served in Honolulu, Kaua'i and Maui branches, most recently as vice president of sales, marketing and distribution, based in Ho-nolulu.

    JONI MARCELLO — whose eight years with Meadow Gold has seen her rise from executive assistant to general manager and strategic marketing manager — has been named assistant sales and distribution manager.

    ROSE TSURU — with Meadow Gold since 2000 as sales and distribution coordinator, and later distribution/logistics coordinator — has been promoted to area sales and distribution representative.

    LORENE YOSHIMURA-TANIGAWA was named purchasing assistant. Since 2003, she has been logistics coordinator, distribution assistant and production accountant.

  • McDonald's Restaurants of Hawai'i has promoted Cathy Wong and Martin Lau to operations managers; Danny Abreu, Sharon Toriki and Janelle Sugihara to business consultants; Randy DeCastro and Romy Ramelb to operations consultants; Bob Toyomura to training consultant; and has hired Edie Kadoyama as human resources specialist. Together, Wong and Lau will implement the company's "U.S. Strategic Agenda" to encourage improved short- and long-term results for each of the company-owned restaurants.

  • ANDREW J. VLIET III was appointed managing consultant at SSFM International engineering firm. The Moloka'i native is a graduate of The Kamehameha Schools; a 1986 Rhodes Scholar; veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom; recipient of the U.S. Army Meritorious Civilian Service Medal, and has management experience with Science Applications International Corp., U.S. Army and Akimeka LLC. SSFM provides program development, project management, civil engineering, structural engineering, planning and construction management.

  • The Honolulu Club has named Beth Aylward general manager. The 10-year fitness industry management veteran has held leadership positions in sales, operations and general management of upscale athletic and social clubs — most recently, as general manager of Northern California's Club One properties.

  • JON PAUL AKEO has been promoted to associate-senior human resources specialist at Booz Allen Hamilton, a global strategy and technology consulting firm. He joined the firm in March 2006, as senior consultant-human resources specialist. Before joining the company, he was director of human resources for the Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau.

  • Central Pacific Bank has named three new vice presidents:

    Alton A. Murakami has been hired as vice president and director of tax, responsible for all tax functions within the bank. Before joining Central Pacific Bank, Murakami was a senior manager at KMH LLP. He also served as an associate at Carlsmith Ball LLP and financial analyst at International Savings and Loan.

  • Diane M. Tamashiro has been hired as vice president and director of management reporting. Before joining the bank, Tamashiro was at KPMG LLP for 15 years as assurance senior manager-Financial Services.

  • Keri Nishimura has been promoted to vice president and private banking officer II. Nishimura is a certified financial planner, assisting individuals and families in formulating, implementing and monitoring comprehensive wealth management strategies. She is a former assistant vice president and project expediter for the bank.

  • JASON SEGAWA has joined the sales and marketing department of Occidental Underwriters of Hawai'i Ltd. as brokerage manager. Among his new duties will be active recruitment of new brokers. He previously was with Wesley R. Segawa and Associates Inc.

  • Bob Peterson, O'ahu branch manager for GP Roadway Solutions, a subsidiary of Grace Pacific Corp., has been named president of the volunteer board of directors of The American Marketing Association's local chapter. Previously, Peterson served as AMA Hawai'i treasurer, as well as president of the Rotary Club of Metropolitan Honolulu and a board member of The Chamber of Commerce of Hawai'i. Other officers include: president-elect: Paul Dyson, vice president of marketing and sales for the USS Missouri Memorial Association Inc.; secretary: Sandy Narvaez, outside sales and promotions manager for Polynesian Adventure Tours; treasurer: John Held, authorized dealer for Kaeser & Blair Inc.; vice president of communications: Keith DeMello, vice president, public affairs for McNeil Wilson Communications Inc.; vice president of membership: Lee Collins, vice president of sales and marketing for Polynesian Adventure Tours; vice president of programs: Georgette Stevens, outside sales representative for Grace Pacific Corp.; vice president of sponsorships: Kathryn Harper; collegiate relations: Janilee Mariano, marketing/support specialist for MediaWill Telematics LLC.; immediate past president: Christina Doane, owner of i-netdeZign.
