General Growth Properties has announced that the company has teamed with Habitat for Humanity in a three-year partnership, committing one of the nation's largest real estate investment trusts to contributing materials and supplies for Hawai'i's Habitat for Humanity homes.

On Saturday, more than 30 General Growth employee volunteers will hold their Hawaii Build Day to help finish a home for a family of 13 in Nanakuli for Habitat for Humanity Leeward Oahu.

General Growth is aiming to raise $50,000 to increase awareness of the need for affordable housing for families in communities across the state.
