The city is redoing the four basketball courts and two volleyball courts at the well-used Kamiloiki Community Park.
Site Engineering Inc. is being paid $238,000 to replace the basketball backboards, goals and nets, replace the volleyball net posts and nets. A new chain-link fence fabric will be installed, and some irrigation work also has been scheduled. The work can begin Sept. 10 and the contractor has 120 calendar days, said Eugene Lee, director of the city Department of Design and Construction.
The courts are below Kamiloiki Elementary School on Hawai'i Kai Drive and are used by residents and league players.
