Tomorrow marks the launch of the monthly Steel Guitar Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Shore Bird Restaurant in the Outrigger Reef Hotel. Kicking the event off are steel masters Alan Akaka and Greg Sardinha. The program will be held the second Sunday of each month, and includes chats with the artists. Steel guitarists are encouraged to bring their instruments for a jam session. The Sept. 9 program will feature Sardinha, Akaka, Bobby Ingano and Casey Olsen. Outrigger Reef: 2169 Kalia Road, 923-3111.
